It’s been a busy year, with my first children’s book, Summer of the Woods, published just about a year ago. The sequel, Mystery on Church Hill, was published in December. A third book in the Sam and Derek series, tied to Richmond and the Civil War, is underway! I hope to have it ready later this year, part of what I’m calling The Virginia Mysteries.
In the meantime, I’ve written a fun short story called Pitch Black Dark. It’s about nine-year-old Harry, who is scared of the dark. Not the regular dark. The pitch black dark. When his older brother, Randy, locks him in the basement alone with the fire-breathing furnace, Harry vows to get even.
Pitch Black Dark is available for just $.99 in Kindle version or also in paperback. I hope that you and your kids enjoy this new story. If you haven’t already, it would be much appreciated if you could take a minute and write a short honest review for any of my books on Amazon. Indie authors like me depend on reviews and word of mouth, so tell a friend. Thanks so much and let me know what you think of the new story!
